Trina Whitlow brings a passionate commitment that is grounded in the belief that organizations thrive when they focus on their greatest asset - their employees. With over 22 years of corporate experience in one of the largest U.S. financial holding companies, combined with specialized human resources expertise, Trina understands both the business imperatives and the human elements that drive organizational success.

​After unexpected life events prompted reflection and introspection, Trina discovered her true calling:  Human Resources and to bring HR back to the "human" aspect. This philosophy became the foundation of her transition into human resources and ultimately led to the founding of SHAW HR Solutions in November 2024. Drawing from extensive experience as a Recruiter, Leave Administrator, and Human Resources Manager, Trina understands the employee lifecycle from recruitment through retention, ensuring positive experiences at every touchpoint.

While maintaining rigorous HR compliance and audit standards, Trina ensures that policies and procedures serve both organizational objectives and employee wellbeing, creating frameworks that protect and support people.

With a Master's degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University, and a certification with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Trina brings academic rigor and practical wisdom to building cultures of engagement, trust, and mutual respect.

Trina's commitment to service extends beyond her consulting practice. She serves as Secretary on the Kensington Co-operative Community Board of Directors (appointed 2023) and holds certification in the Federal Housing Act. This board leadership demonstrates her dedication to community engagement and her ability to apply HR principles to governance and organizational stewardship.​
